Leggero is a table entirely built in wood. The wooden structure is conceived as a carved frame that push the limits of resistance of the material. The proposed design was define the sculptural beauty of the object through the elegant lines and a simple construction technology. The structural body assumes dynamism, lightness and an only apparent fragility. The material is carved and tapered along the tension lines, with the structure presenting sections of variable shape, so as to appear more slender, but with a strong resistance to stress. The parts that build the structural frame are assembled preserving harmony of shapes and clean lines. The rounded edges harmonize the junctions between surface and structure, which blend it in a single geometry. The assembly of these elements results in a durable and lightweight product. The elegance of the forms is combined with the simplicity of the construction and exaltation of the material. The result is a product that evoke formal beauty and honest construction. Ottavio aim to celebrate the formal beauty and the qualities of the material, with the will to bring the wood at the center of contemporary style.
Frame : 8 pieces solid oak wood glued together and interlocking. Worktops : Solid oak wood. Length: 220 cm Width: 100 cm Height: 75 cm
